Mahindra Tractor Achieves A Milestone By Selling 40 Lakh Tractor Units

Mahindra Tractor achieved a remarkable milestone by selling 40 lakh tractor units inclusive of exports in March 2024. Based on Mahindra’s Yuvo tractor platform, the Mahindra Yuvo Tech Plus marks this historic achievement.

Being the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume, Mahindra Tractors, part of Mahindra Group, has achieved a milestone by selling the 40th lakh tractor inclusive of exports in March 2024. This achievement coincides with the 60th anniversary of the company which first rolled out its tractor in 1963 through a partnership with International Harvester Inc. of the U.S. 

The Mahindra Yuvo Tech Plus, based on Mahindra’s Yuvo tractor platform, marks this milestone. With the Zaheerabad facility, Mahindra has rolled out the youngest tractor facility to serve as a global production hub for Mahindra tractors. First surpassing the one million unit production mark in 2004, Mahindra Tractors claimed to be the world’s highest farm tractor manufacturer by volume in 2009. 

In 2013, the brand reached the 2-million tractor unit production with the 3-million mark milestone in 2019. The brand's rapid acceleration in production and sales, along with its constant growth, make this current milestone of 40 lakh units sold very noteworthy. During the financial year, the Mahindra Tractor brand also achieved strong sales with over two lakh units sold.

Insights Into Mahindra Tractors

Over the course of six decades, Mahindra has expanded its product line to include over 390 tractor models. In addition, Mahindra Tractors has developed a strong network of more than 1200 dealer partners throughout India during this time. By putting the needs of its customers first, this network has allowed the brand to offer unmatched levels of sales, service, and spare support to an ever-growing base of 40 lakh Mahindra Tractors customers.

Mahindra Tractors has launched a new Digital Video Commercial (DVC) titled "40 lakh happy customers and 60 years of brand trust" in gratitude for its 40 lakh consumers. The brand has also extended new deals on its products and services throughout the nation. Its campaign revolves around the red colour which is associated with prosperity and synonymous with Mahindra Tractors. 

Outside of India, the United States represents Mahindra Tractors' largest market, spanning over 50 nations on six continents. Mahindra just started selling the OJA in the United States after introducing its Global Light Weight tractor platform, which was developed in association with Mitsubishi Mahindra Agriculture Machinery, Japan. Mahindra Tractors will make its debut in ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) with the OJA, beginning in Thailand in 2024 and moving on to Europe in 2025.
